Halfway to completion
Work is about 50 percent complete on the Ames Intermodal Facility on university property at the west end of Campustown (Hayward Avenue and Chamberlain Street). On schedule for completion in early June, the facility will include enclosed bus bays, a taxi stand and two levels of parking for nearly 400 vehicles. Access will be from both Hayward and Sheldon avenues. CyRide will own the facility; the parking division in ISU's department of public safety will manage it. Photo by Bob Elbert.
