Presidential open forums set; finalists not yet selected
by Diana Pounds
Although no finalists have been selected in the search for Iowa State's next president, the search committee is releasing a tentative schedule for the finalist open forums that will be held on campus later this month.
Next meeting
The presidential search committee's next meeting is Friday, Sept. 9.
"We want to give everyone plenty of time to get these forums on their calendars," said search committee co-chair Labh Hira. "We hope that many in the university community and beyond will attend the finalist forums and offer their comments on the future leader of Iowa State."
The search committee's task is to identify up to five finalists for the Iowa Board of Regents, which will select the next ISU president.
Five one-hour forums tentatively are scheduled; some will be dropped if there are fewer finalists.
