Letter: Thank you, 4th of July celebrants
FPM staff sends a big thanks to those who took a few minutes to clean up the intramural fields and Iowa State Center parking areas after the Fourth of July fireworks celebration. In years past, it was a big challenge to ensure these areas were cleared of sparkler wires and safe for summer activities, such as Iowa Games and sports camps.
The assistance we received from the community is above and beyond what we had hoped for. Our staff only had to do a quick sweep of the area for sparkler wires and trash in general. Now they can focus on other pressing concerns and are able to accomplish so much more, that much better, throughout the rest of the summer. We are very grateful.
