Test run
Jason Alread, associate professor of architecture, takes a lap on the world's smallest velodrome, designed and built this summer by 16 of his graduate students in a service learning course. Their "Cyclodrome" was put to the test the evening of July 7 in the King Pavilion, with time trials and pursuit races open to the public.
Waiting in the wings to try it out are Amy Hutchison (left), assistant professor of curriculum and instruction; and recent College of Design MFA graduate Kim Topp, friends of Alread's through cycling circles. Photo by Bob Elbert.
