Ticket-less option available at MU parking ramp
Two swipes of your credit card is one way to pay for hourly parking in the Memorial Union ramp. The service was activated to save time and tickets. Here's how it works:
- At either of the ramp entrances, you insert a credit card in the card reader instead of pushing the button that would relinquish a validation ticket to you.
- When you're back in your vehicle at the ramp's exit gate, insert the same credit card into the card reader. The machine calculates the lapsed time and adds the cost to your credit card.
This option works with VISA, MasterCard and Discover credit cards only. Debit-only cards and American Express cards can't be used. You also must use the validation ticket system if your parking will be paid by:
- University Book Store (with at least a $10 purchase)
- Hotel Memorial Union (you're a guest)
- The host of a special event at the MU
- A nearby church with a parking contract at the ramp
