It's Cy-Hawk week

Following the Cyclone wrestlers' narrow defeat by Iowa Sunday, the Hawkeyes lead the Cy-Hawk Series by a single point heading into more contests between the schools this week, all in Ames. Cyclone redshirt sophomore Jerome Ward (pictured) handed Iowa's Phillip Keddy his first defeat of the season in the 184-pound match and was one of five Iowa State wrestlers to win his match.

Cheer on the women's basketball team Thursday (7 p.m., Hilton), the women's swimming and diving team Friday (6 p.m., Beyer), and the men's basketball team Friday (7 p.m., Hilton). Admission to the swim meet is free; tickets to the basketball games are $10-$12 (women) and $25-$30 (men) through the athletics ticket office in the Jacobson Athletics Building. ABC replica relocates

The Computer History Museum of Mountain View, Calif., will be the new home for Iowa State's full-scale, working replica of the Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC) for at least 10 years.

Better late than never

At 79, Shirley Smith isn't the oldest person to graduate from Iowa State, but she's probably the most enthusiastic. After all, she has waited 60 years to cross the stage, claim her diploma and shout, "Yippee!"
