Celebrating all things dairy
The ISU dairy farm is celebrating dairy month with an open house on Friday, June 25 (6-11 a.m.). Last year's event, pictured above, attracted an estimated 1,200 visitors. Tours of the milking parlor and barns begin at 6:30 a.m. Children's activities, free samples of dairy products and educational displays will be a part of an ag discovery center, open from 7 to 11 a.m. The dairy farm is located at 52470 260th St. (south of Ames and Highway 30, between University Boulevard and State Avenue).
