ISU Theatre presents Emma's Child
The journey to have a child is explored in the next Iowa State University
Theatre production.
Emma's Child tells the story of Jean and Henry Farrell who, after
years of unsuccessful attempts to have a baby of their own, decide to adopt.
When the baby is born hydrocephalic (water on the brain) and does not have
long to live, the Farrell marriage is tested.
"Jean has this concept that love conquers all," said Amanda Mayfield, a
senior performing arts major and director of the student-produced play. "She
has a great big heart with that 'I can make this work' attitude. It's a
philosophy that I myself have."
Emma's Child will begin at 7:30 p.m. March 25-27 and 2 p.m. March 28
in Fisher Theater.
Tickets are $4 and available at the Iowa State Center Ticket Office and
TicketMaster locations.
