Straddling two cultures

Omar (right) and Ramsey Tesdell, Iowa State brothers whose mother is Palestinian and father is American, shared experiences of growing up as Arab-Americans in Slater during a workshop at the 5th annual Iowa State Conference on Race and Ethnicity on March 5. The brothers regularly visit relatives in Amman, Jordan, and marveled that they also don't fit Jordanians' stereotypes of Americans.
