How much?
The campus received about 20 inches of snow through the first part of
February, according to Bob Currie, assistant director of facilities
services. When that's spread over the university's 23 miles of road, 34
miles of walks and bike paths, and 163 acres of parking lots, it's a lot of
snow to remove. In fact, it's enough to fill the Marston Water Tower 856
times or one of campus service's large dump trucks 67,000 times. The
university already has spent $230,000 of its $250,000 snow removal budget.
