Travel Health certificate
Dr. Pauline Miller and Mary Fosse, R.N., Thielen Student Health Center, are among the first health care professionals internationally to earn a Certificate in Travel Health.

Software application award
Iowa State's Crop Adviser Institute won two awards for its software applications from the American Society of Agronomy. The Educational Materials Awards for 2003 were given to authors of materials developed specifically for the institute program.

Leadership award
Donald Rieck, director of the Instructional Technology Center, was awarded The Silver Reel award by the Consortium of College and University Media Centers. He is the ninth recipient of the award in 30 years.

Master teachers
Hector Avalos, J. Herman Blake, Susan Cross, Jacquelyn Litt and Lulu Rodriguez have been named Master Teachers by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
