Who's Who
ISU economists GianCarlo Moschini, Catherine Kling, Dermot Hayes and Bruce
Babcock appear in the fourth edition of Who's Who in Economics, a
biographical dictionary that includes economists ranked in the top of their
field, as measured by citation by peers in refereed journals.
Honorary FFA degree
Ken Larson, professor emeritus of agronomy, will receive an honorary
American FFA degree from the National FFA Organization. He is being
recognized for his work with FFA Crops Career Development events in Missouri
and Iowa that he began in 1970.
Educator of the year
Linda Quinn Allen, assistant professor of French and foreign language
education, has been named Outstanding Educator of the Year (college and
university level) by the Iowa World Language Association. Allen teaches a
methods course for secondary world language students and supervises
prospective world language teachers during their student teaching practicum.
She serves as the world language licensure coordinator for the Iowa
Department of Education. Allen also has shared her expertise with Iowa
elementary and secondary language instructors over the Iowa Communications
Network.
