creator) as Joseph Pearce discusses "J.R.R. Tolkien: The Man and the Myth."
Pearce is writer-in-residence and professor of literature at Ave Maria
College in Michigan.

they perform numbers from Monk's newest recording, Crosstalk. Monk is
the son of the late jazz great Thelonious Monk.

Watch poetry in motion as Iowa State hosts the 2003 ISU Memorial Cross
Country meet. The women's 4,000-meter run will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed
by the men's 4,000 or 6,000-meter run beginning at 6 p.m.

Twenty-five faculty artists celebrate 25 years of the College of Design in
"Silver Reflections." This art exhibit produced by retired ISU design
professors will feature drawings, paintings, sculptures, photography,
ceramics, models, mixed media, fiber art and musical instruments.
