New address for Plant Sciences Institute
The new address for the Plant Sciences Institute is 1074 Roy J. Carver
Co-Laboratory, 50011-3650. Telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses
remain the same.
Reserve course readings for fall
Instructors should submit requests now to place readings on reserve in the
library for fall semester. More information is at

Orientation for new instructors
Instructors new to ISU in 2003 are invited to a Teaching Seminar and
Orientation Aug. 18-20 in the Memorial Union. Programs are tailored for
tenured or tenure-track faculty, lecturers, clinicians and TAs. Registration
and meals are free. Online registration is required at
http://www.cte.iastate.edu.
Special prices on computers
Special prices on Dell and Apple computers are available through July from
Academic Information Technology. Dell computers in the bulk purchase program
can be configured; Apple and Dell computers in the back-to-school sale are

Mentors needed for freshman Honors students
Faculty and researchers are sought to work with freshman Honors students in
research experiences spring semester 2004. Students work at least three
hours per week and receive one academic credit for each three-hour
commitment, up to two credits, graded on a satisfactory-fail basis. For more
