All-electronic U-bill statement coming soon

You will no longer receive your U-bill statement in the mail after July 31. Instead, you will get an e-mail message when your bill has been updated on the online AccessPlus system.

Eliminating paper statements for students, faculty and staff will generate cost savings of approximately $100,000 annually in postage and printing costs, says Iowa State Treasurer Joan Thompson.

"Iowa State is a high-tech university and the campus community is accustomed to doing business online," Thompson said. "We do not anticipate any major difficulties making the change to an all-electronic U-bill."

Thompson said faculty, staff and students must have an Iowa State University e-mail account to receive the U-bill e-mail message. If you're not sure if you have an ISU e-mail account, check your name in the university directory to see if an email address is listed.

If you do not have an e-mail account, you can easily register for one by going to https://asw.iastate.edu/ and clicking the "register" button.

If you have an e-mail account, but don't know how to access it, contact the AIT Solution Center at solution@iastate.edu or 296-6000.

Your university bill includes charges for such things as PPP Internet service, recreation center memberships, tuition and parking.

Thompson said the U-bill statement on AccessPlus will provide information on how to pay your bill electronically, as well as provide you with a remittance stub to mail with your check.
