University photographer Bob Elbert is on the third floor of the Durham Center where an office mockup of John Atanasoff items is on display. Atanasoff and graduate student Clifford Berry assembled the world's first electronic digital computer at Iowa State from 1939 to 1941. This fall, Iowa State will observe the 100th anniversary of Atanasoff's birth. He died in 1995.
