Good turnout
The Iowa State blood drive, the largest student-run drive in the nation, had
a successful run last week at the Memorial Union, with 1,925 potential
donors showing up. The blood drive, held fall and spring semesters,
traditionally attracts 150 to 200 more donors than the next largest
student-run blood drive. Shown is donor Amanda Raymond (left), a junior from
Lakota, talking to one of the blood drive organizers, Molly Thrall, a junior
from Des Moines. Amanda Hall, a junior from Ames, also is shown donating
blood. Photo by Bob Elbert.
