Deaths
Pete Taylor
Pete Taylor, associate athletics director and radio voice of the Cyclone
football and men's basketball teams, died March 5 in Iowa City following
surgery to treat complications from a stroke. He was 57. Memorials may be
sent to the ISU Foundation for the establishment of a Pete Taylor Memorial
Scholarship in broadcast journalism, or to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
Donations for the scholarship fund may be mailed to: Pete Taylor Memorial
Fund, Jacobson Athletic Facility, 1800 S. Fourth St., Ames, 50011.
Harold M. "Sandy" Smith
Harold M. "Sandy" Smith, a clinician in the department of educational
leadership and policy studies, died March 10 of cancer. A funeral service
will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, at Augustana Lutheran Church, 309
S. Greene St., Boone.
