WOI Radio meets campaign goal
WOI Radio surpassed its goal during its recent fund-raising campaign. The radio station raised $272,578 from Oct. 18 to Oct. 25. You can still contribute by calling 4-7415 or 800-861-8000, or visiting the Web site at http://www.woi.org.

Science Bowl needs volunteers
Approximately 90 volunteers from scientific and engineering disciplines are needed to serve as moderators, judges, timekeepers and scorekeepers for the Ames Laboratory/Iowa State High School Science Bowl on Jan. 25, 2003. Volunteers receive a T-shirt, lunch and free parking. Volunteer by contacting Saren Johnston, 4-3474, sarenj@ameslab.gov.

Travel grant applications
Colleges must submit faculty applications for foreign travel grants for travel between Jan. 16 and Aug. 15, 2003, by Jan. 29, 2003. Faculty requesting foreign travel grants should check with their dean's offices for college deadlines. Applications should be submitted no more than two semesters before travel is planned.

Dance marathon benefits children
The ISU Dance Marathon will be held from 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Lied Center. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Hospital of Iowa. Faculty and staff are invited to become "Spirit Dancers" through a donation of $50. Spirit Dancers are asked to come from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m. and will receive a T-shirt and meal. Faculty forum examines grades
The Center for Teaching Excellence's next faculty forum will be "Grades: Can't Live With 'Em, Can't Live Without 'Em" from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. Beverage and dessert are provided. Register by Nov. 8 by calling 4-2906 or e-mailing cte@iastate.edu.
