Home opener

There was plenty of activity at Jack Trice Stadium this week in anticipation of the Cyclone football squad's home opener Aug. 31 against the Kansas Jayhawks. In addition to stadium lights and south end zone seating installed earlier this summer, the stadium has a new scoreboard with video screen. Electronics aside, the grass still needs to be mowed and groomed. Saturday's kick-off is at 11:30 a.m. Photo by Bob Elbert.
