GoldSheet going electronic
The GoldSheet (an internal form that must be completed when submitting
external grant applications) is going electronic. By the end of 2002,
faculty and staff will be able to initiate and route the form around campus
from a Web browser. See
http://www.iastate.edu/news/announce/02/jun/goldsheet.html for more
information.

Preregistration is under way for the 12+ Supervisory Leadership Series
2002/2003, offered by the Office of Training and Development. The program is
a series of workshops designed for employees in supervisory or management
positions. For more information, see the training and development Web site
at
http://www.iastate.edu/~hrs_info/training/homepage.shtml. (Check the
"Professional Development Offerings" column.)

applications for the 2002-03 school year. Membership is open to students in
eighth grade and under. Cost is $30 per child. Signup may be done online at
http://cyclones.ocsn.com/genrel/062402aaa.html or at the athletic ticket

1,000th card issued
The purchasing department issued its 1,000th purchasing card on June 25, in
the office of engineering undergraduate programs. The card program was
started in 1998 to help campus employees buy low-dollar supplies with a VISA
card. It also encourages cardholders to support local and Iowa businesses
through their purchases. Currently, employees from 190 campus departments
complete more than 4,600 transactions monthly. The card system eliminates
the more costly paper-processing voucher system. For more information,
contact purchasing card administrator Lesley Lackore, 4-4589.
