INSIDE IOWA STATE June 14, 2002 DeathsJohn MahlstedeJohn Mahlstede, professor emeritus of horticulture and a former associate dean in the College of Agriculture, died June 2 in Cedar Rapids. He was on the ISU faculty from 1951 to 1987. Memorial funds have been set up with Iowa State's Reiman Gardens and the Iowa Arboretum. Paul Lem Paul Lem, a former graphic designer for ISU Extension, died in a June 3 fishing accident in Canada that also claimed his son and grandson. Lem worked for Iowa State from 1967 to 1990. A memorial fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank. |
