  • 9-11 a.m. Community float tours, meet at 201 Gray Ave.
  • 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Cherry pie sales, $1, 16 MacKay, 4-8552.
  • 10 a.m.-2 a.m., Taste of Veishea, food vendors, games, music, Welch Avenue.
  • 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Barbecue (lunch free with Veishea button), central campus.
  • Noon-1 p.m., Opening ceremonies, speaker, Randall Wreghitt, Broadway producer and 1978 ISU alumnus, south of campanile.
  • 3 p.m.-1:30 a.m., Carnival, games and rides, ISU Center Lot D4.

  • 2 p.m., Benefit dog show, $1 (proceeds go to Ames Animal Shelter),Vet Med lawn.
