Douglas Lewis
A farewell reception for Douglas Lewis, associate professor of food science and human nutrition, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in 1009 LeBaron. Lewis has been named chair of human nutrition and food science at the California Polytechnic State University, and will continue to collaborate with ISU's food science and human nutrition faculty.

Cheryl Sanford
A retirement reception for Cheryl Sanford, student services specialist with LAS Student Academic Services, will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the Memorial Union Cardinal Room. Sanford has worked for ISU for 15 years.

George Covert
A retirement reception for George Covert, associate director of the Computation Center, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. A program will begin at 3:30 p.m. Covert has been with the university more than 38 years and will retire Jan. 2, 2002. Letters for a memory album should be sent by Dec. 6 to Jo Holland, 291 Durham.

Patricia Swan
Patricia Swan, professor of food science and human nutrition and former dean of the Graduate College and vice provost for research and advanced studies, will retire from Iowa State Dec. 31. No public reception is planned.
