Senate reviews Student Affairs
A special Faculty Senate committee to review the Office of Student Affairs
and vice president Thomas Hill is soliciting comments from faculty, staff
and students.
Faculty Senate bylaws call for the senate to evaluate administrative offices
and their administrators every five years. The evaluation of the office will
be shared with the Faculty Senate and others as laid out in the Faculty
Handbook guidelines. The evaluation of Hill, who came to Iowa State in
1997, will be shared with the university president.
John Schuh, professor and DEO of educational leadership and policy studies,
is chairing the review committee. Written comments are encouraged, but all
comments about the office and Hill are welcomed, Schuh said. All comments
will be kept confidential and not attributed in the reports prepared by the
review committee.
Comments are requested by Sept. 14 and should be directed to Schuh, N243
Lagomarcino, 4-6393 or
jschuh@iastate.edu.
