The first one
The first community center in the department of residence's master plan
opens Monday, Aug. 13, at Hawthorn Court. The facility includes a
made-to-order grill area, deli, main and private dining rooms, lounge
with a fireplace and computer outlets for laptop models, a convenience
store, outdoor patio seating, Starbucks coffee counter and a fitness center.
Patrons may eat in or carry out. Faculty and staff may pay for meals with
cash, credit cards or through payroll deduct (forms to activate this option
are available in 1215 Friley or the center's office).
