Aug. 13, 2009 Princeton Review's The Best 371 Colleges: 2010 Edition
Iowa State students who responded to the annual Princeton Review survey applaud their college experience, extensive student services, strong academic programs and a diverse student population. Iowa State is one of the colleges and universities featured in The Best 371 Colleges: 2010 Edition, which was released this summer. Princeton Review, a test preparation company not affiliated with the university of the same name, says it collects information on more than 2,000 colleges and universities before selecting those to feature in its annual book. The survey reflects the opinions of more than 122,000 students, or an average of about 329 per school. Most students responded during the 2008-09 academic year. Based on the comments of Iowa State students, Princeton Review concluded: "There are a lot of opportunities for student research and 'hands-on' learning;" so many, in fact, that some students claim ISU is "the best 'outside-of-class' university in the nation."
