Ted Okiishi, Sharron Quisenberry

A reception will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the first floor atrium of Beardshear Hall. Sharron Quisenberry will be welcomed as the new vice president for research and economic development and interim vice president Ted Okiishi will be thanked for his continued service to ISU. There will be a brief program at 4:30 p.m.

Kathy Shelley

A retirement reception for Kathy Shelley, systems analyst in the statistics department, will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, in the Wallace/Wilson commons.

Chris Fowler

The Margaret Sloss Women's Center is hosting a reception for its new assistant director, Chris Fowler, on April 7 (3-5 p.m., Sloss House). Fowler has been with ISU since 1996, working with the residence department and the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics.

Mary Swander

A reception to celebrate the appointment of English Distinguished Professor Mary Swander as the state's Poet Laureate will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the Memorial Union Oak Room. A program will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Symone Simmons

A farewell reception for Symone Simmons, senior admissions counselor in Enrollment Services, will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in 307 Enrollment Services Building.
