WelcomeSharron Quisenberry became Iowa State's vice president for research and economic development on April 1. Since 2003, Quisenberry had served as professor of entomology and dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg. Her career includes stops at Montana State and Louisiana State universities, and the universities of Nebraska and Idaho. She was an assistant professor of entomology at Iowa State from 1980 to 1982. A reception to welcome Quisenberry and thank interim vice president Ted Okiishi for his continued service to ISU will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, in the first floor atrium of Beardshear.
