Dec. 12, 2008 Save the date: Sustainability symposiumAs part of the university-wide Live Green! initiative, Iowa State will hold a sustainability symposium Feb. 9-10, 2009, at the Memorial Union. It will open with a keynote address and poster sessions the evening of Feb. 9, and include a full day of activities Feb. 10. The campus planning committee invites a broad audience to attend, including faculty, staff, students and Ames citizens. There is no cost to attend, but there will be a registration process to help planners put together teams for the interactive afternoon session Feb. 10. More details will be coming in January. Planning committee members are faculty members Gene Takle and Jerald DeWitt; P&S staff member Bill Diesslin; president's office staff Tahira Hira and Ellen Kabat Lensch; and students Kelli Huser and Pantelis Korovilas. |
