Aug. 14, 2008 HonorsGovernor's task force membersJason Follett, program coordinator in the curriculum and instruction department and the University Teacher Education Program; and the ISU library's Hilary Seo, head of the preservation department; and Tanya Zanish-Belcher, head of the special collections department; have been appointed to the Rebuild Iowa Task Force on Cultural Heritage and Records Retention. This is one of nine task forces created by Gov. Chet Culver to help guide Iowa's disaster recovery efforts and long-term rebuilding. Ag and bio engineering fellowHongwei Xin, professor of agricultural and biosystems engineering, was named an American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers fellow. He was recognized for his leadership in teaching, research and outreach. Dairy science leaderDonald Beitz, Distinguished professor of animal science, was named president of the American Dairy Science Association. |
