April 18, 2008 'Novel' gardensReiman Gardens is hosting a preview party and grand opening to kick off its "novel garden" theme year. The preview party is 5 to 7 p.m. April 24, and features music, appetizers, a cash bar and door prizes. Admission is free for members, volunteers and sponsors, and $5 for the public. RSVP to 4-2710. The April 25 grand opening (9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) includes an Arbor Day celebration. Admission is free. There will be free cake and ice cream, oak tree seedlings and activities. A ribbon cutting and tree planting also are planned. |
