Bragging rights

In mid-December, Iowa State clinched this year's Cy-Hawk Series trophy, a head-to-head athletics competition against in-state rival Iowa.

The win evens the slate at two years of bragging rights for each school since the series began in 2004-05. This year, men's golf was added to the tally, along with men's and women's cross country.

Neither school was awarded an academic point (given to a school if its overall student-athlete graduation rate from the previous year exceeds the NCAA's national average).
