University leaders have about $16.1 million in new salary dollars to distribute to faculty and professional and scientific staff in the fiscal year that began July 1 (about $11.4 million for faculty and $4.7 million for P&S staff). Those amounts include:
All of the former and 75 percent of the latter dollars were distributed as of July 1, and the chart above illustrates average salary increases that reflect both types of increases. University leaders are holding about $1.2 million for faculty use and $0.2 million for P&S use to address retention and other market issues as they arise during the year.
