Sesquicentennial flower bed

Flower Power

This flower bed, located on the southwest corner of Osborn Drive and Wallace Road, boasts a blooming collection of marigolds and petunias honoring Iowa State's 150th birthday. The area was relandscaped in the spring, giving passersby a better view of floral designs. The display is one of two sesquicentennial flower beds designed with a combined 1,377 individual plants. The other bed is located at the ISU Visitor Information Booth on Elwood Drive. Photo by Bob Elbert.
