May 30, 2007 Regents officer to associate vice president at Iowa Stateby Diana Pounds Regents business officer Pam Elliott Cain will become associate vice president for business and finance at Iowa State University on July 16. Cain has served as chief business officer for the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, since 1998. She also held several positions in the state auditor's office. Cain's background and experience and knowledge of the State and Board of Regents budgeting and financial systems will be a great asset to Iowa State, said Warren Madden, vice president for business and finance. Cain received a bachelor of science in business administration from Drake University and is a certified public accountant. Cain will succeed Johnny Pickett, who will begin phased retirement July 1. Pickett will continue working half time in the vice president's office, focusing on special projects such as implementation of the new budget model and capital projects financing. |
