May 17, 2007 ISU Confidential Hotline receives eight reports
The ISU Confidential Hotline, hosted by EthicsPoint, serves the university community as a means for anonymously reporting concerns about criminal, unethical or otherwise inappropriate behavior. During the 10-month period from July 1, 2006, to April 30, 2007, the hotline received eight anonymous reports among its five categories, all of which were investigated:
Seven of the reports were submitted via the ISU Confidential Hotline Web site (listed under "H" in the ISU online index) and one via the call center. Seven of the reports were submitted by employees and one by a non-employee. In most cases, the reported behavior was witnessed or experienced by the reporter, and the reporter indicated his/her belief that management was aware of the concern. In most cases, the duration of the behavior was reported as having existed for more than three months. If you have a concern that you would like to report anonymously, visit the ISU Confidential Hotline. When making your report, supply as much information as you can. Then (also anonymously), follow up on your report later, using the confidential report key and password, to see if the investigators need clarification or additional information. The hotline Web site also provides information about other resources for persons wishing to report troubling issues and concerns. |
SummaryYou may report concerns about criminal, unethical or otherwise inappropriate behavior to the ISU Confidential Hotline, hosted on a non-ISU server and accessed under "H" in the ISU online index. |
