Celebrating South Africa

The 26-member Soweto Gospel Choir comes to Stephens Friday, March 23, for a 7:30 p.m. performance of dance and music. The South African group won the 2007 Grammy Award for "Best Traditional World Music" for their CD Blessed. Tickets are $28.50 or $24.50 (with discounts for students), and available through Ticketmaster. Audience members are invited to arrive at 7 p.m. to hear insights into gospel music and South Africa in the Celebrity Cafe located in the ground floor lobby (north side of Stephens). Tickets for a pre-show buffet dinner, featuring herbed turkey breast and country meatloaf, are $25 ($12.50 for children 12 and under).
