Experiential Classroom comes to campus

As a special offering of this year's Hilton Endowed Chair Program in the College of Human Sciences, a condensed version of the "Experiential Classroom" will be offered to 50 ISU faculty members Jan. 25-26 at Building 4 in the ISU Research Park. There will be morning and afternoon sessions on Thursday and a morning session Friday. The registration deadline is Jan. 15.

The Experiential Classroom offers hands-on experience and demonstrates practical, simple, innovative ways for faculty to integrate entrepreneurship content, concepts and experiences into their teaching. Normally, it's offered as a three-day conference.

Michael Morris, originator of the Experiential Classroom at Syracuse University and ISU's 2006-07 Endowed Hilton Chair of Entrepreneurship, and two of his colleagues will provide the programming. Registration (including materials, refreshments and Thursday lunch) is $15 per person. Hilton Chair funds and assistance from the ISU Pappajohn Center will cover the remaining costs.

Registration may be done online at the Pappajohn Center Web site, isupjcenter.org, or print a PDF registration form and return it to Carol Knutson, 31 MacKay.

For more information, contact Linda Niehm, niehmlin@iastate.edu, or Sara Marcketti, sbb@iastate.edu.
