Madrigal dinner tickets available Dec. 1

The music department will present the 42nd annual Madrigal Dinners Friday and Saturday, Jan. 12-13, 2007, in the Memorial Union Great Hall. The room will be transformed into a candlelit 17th century banquet hall filled with the ambiance of a festive Renaissance English court.

In addition to guests, those "attending" the banquet will include dancers, jesters, strolling musicians, frolicking fools and gallivanting wenches.

Both evenings begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. The fanfare for dinner is at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $34 ($28 for ISU students, senior citizens and groups of 10 or more). Tickets may be purchased three ways:

Send a check made out to ISU Madrigal Dinner (no credit cards) to Madrigal Dinner Tickets, 115 Music Building, ISU, Ames, 50011.

Beginning Dec. 1, tickets may be purchased at the Memorial Union box office located on the main level. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. There is no service charge or handling fee with tickets purchased by cash or check only.

Also beginning Dec. 1, tickets may be purchased by phone at 4-8349, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a $1 service charge per ticket and a $2 mailing fee.
