Provost candidates to visit campus soon

Two finalists will interview for the executive vice president and provost position during the week of Sept. 18. A third finalist, citing family considerations, has decided not to further pursue the position.

President Gregory Geoffroy selected the finalists from the candidate recommendations submitted to him by the search committee.

Each candidate will spend a day and a half on campus and participate in two public forums -- a general forum and a forum focusing on diversity issues. The visit schedules are being finalized, and the location and date/time of the public forums will be publicized a few days prior to each candidate's visit, along with the candidate's name and biographical information.

Geoffroy encourages the campus community to participate in the interview process and provide input on the candidates. A feedback form will be available on the provost search web site.
