Feb. 10, 2006 Offer your ideas on new budget model at Feb. 13 open forumThe committee that has been working on a new budget model for Iowa State is ready for a second round of input from the campus community. A public forum on the committee's latest budget model report will be held Monday, Feb. 13, from 11 a.m. to noon, in the Memorial Union Campanile Room. The committee recently released its second report, which includes the general concept and principles for a new budget model and discussion of how revenues and appropriations might be allocated. (The report is at http://www.iastate.edu/~budgetmodel.) Comments on the report can be e-mailed to budgetmodel@iastate.edu. President Gregory Geoffroy created the Budget Model Development Committee last fall to consider alternate models that would stimulate progress on the strategic plan, encourage multi-year planning, respond to student enrollment patterns and offer more flexibility. |
