South of Lincoln WayThe north (top) and south (bottom) sides of Buchanan residence hall show improvements to the facility following a major renovation. The east wing opened last Aug. 17 and the west wing opened Oct. 30. A one-level, 4,000-square-foot north lounge addition opened at the start of spring semester. The lounge features a fireplace, full kitchen, dining/study tables and chairs, overstuffed chairs and couches, and projection equipment and screen. In addition to replacing mechanical systems and room furnishings, the renovation added lounges and kitchenettes to each floor. Buchanan Hall is home to up to 412 students. Photos by Bob Elbert. |
