February 25, 2005 HonorsCYtation Award winnersFall/winter P&S CYtation Award winners are John Newton, Veenker golf course; Michelle Boettcher, residence department; Joe Detrick, animal science; Stephen Gaul, animal science; and Kathleen Larson, Center for Agricultural and Rural Development. The award is given quarterly and recognizes extraordinary work or efforts that make a real difference in the institution. Society fellowMike Owen, professor of agronomy and ISU Extension weed specialist, has been named a fellow of the Weed Science Society of America. Fellows are selected based on service to the society. Teaching excellence awardJim Bolluyt, assistant professor in civil, construction and environmental engineering, has received the Chi Epsilon Excellence in Teaching Award for the North Central District. Chi Epsilon is a national honor society for faculty, students and alumni in civil and environmental engineering. |
