AnswerUniversity photographer Bob Elbert was scanning the east exterior of Parks Library when he photographed this image. "Van den keere" is the family name of Hendrik (c. 1540-80), a Dutch founder, binder and bookseller in Ghent, Belgium. "Anziet thende" is Old Flemish, believed to translate to "Behold the End."
