November 19, 2004 HonorsProfessorship awardedLee Burras, associate agronomy professor, has been awarded the Pioneer Agronomy Professorship. His teaching and research examine the relationship between agriculture and the environment. Honorary degreeEric Hoiberg, associate dean of academic programs in the College of Agriculture, received the Honorary American FFA Degree from the national FFA (Future Farmers of America) organization. The award is presented to those who advance agricultural education and FFA. On exhibitAnnaliese Baker, assistant professor of music and faculty member in ISU Theatre, has been chosen to exhibit a series of costume designs at the World Stage Design 2005 in Toronto next March. Baker's costume designs were for the play An Experiment With An Air Pump. Hall of Fame inducteesAssociate professor of political science Paul Coates and Jack Whitmer have been inducted into the Iowa League of Cities Hall of Fame. The two have coordinated ISU's Iowa Clerks Institute since it was founded in 1975. |
