Golf of another sort

Two Ames disc golf courses are among 11 central Iowa courses that will be sites for the 2004 Professional Disc Golf Association's world championships, Aug. 7-14. Competitions will be held in Ames Aug. 9-13, with matches beginning daily at 7:30 a.m.

ISU disc golf course (north of 13th Street and west of Squaw Creek)
Carroll Marty course (south of Mortensen Road, at Gateway Hills Park)
