Celebrate Independence Day at Farm House, Reiman

This Fourth of July, you can spend the afternoon experiencing an old-time celebration at the Farm House Museum and then watch the fireworks amid the thousands of blooms at Reiman Gardens.

The "Independence Day Celebration" at the Farm House will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 4. Featured will be games, music, performances by the Onion Creek Cloggers and historic tours of the museum.

Hotdogs, popcorn and lemonade will be sold.

Reiman Gardens will be open from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the Fourth, although the butterfly wing will close at 4:30 p.m.

Regular admission will be charged until 7 p.m., when admission will drop to $5 per family or household so visitors can sit among the gardens and enjoy the fireworks display across the street. Bring picnic baskets and lawn chairs if you want. Hazel's Kitchen and the gift shop will remain open until 8 p.m.
