Receptions

Howard Shapiro

A reception to recognize Howard Shapiro for his service as vice provost for undergraduate programs will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 4, in the atrium of Hoover Hall. A program will begin at 2:30 p.m. The administrative office will close June 30 as part of a reorganization due to budget cuts.

Lynn Zwagerman

A retirement reception for Lynn Zwagerman, senior research analyst in the Office of Institutional Research, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 10, in 3150 Beardshear. A short program will be held at 3 p.m. Zwagerman has served ISU for more than 25 years.

Alan Atherly

A retirement reception for Alan Atherly, professor in genetics, development and cell biology, will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, June 11, in the atrium of the Molecular Biology Building. Atherly has been with Iowa State since 1968.

Don Rieck

A retirement reception for Don Rieck, director of the Instruction Technology Center, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 24, in 1200 Communications. A short program will begin at 3 p.m.

Karen Burk

A retirement reception for Karen Burk, program coordinator in Occupational Medicine, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 24, in 205 TASF.

Elizabeth Beck

A retirement reception for Elizabeth Beck, director of the Honors program, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, June 25, in the Jischke Honors building. She has been with the university 27 years.
