Thanks to crews

To the Editor:
After reading the article, "Winter's toll is more than zapped spirits" by Debra Gibson (Inside Iowa State, March 9), I had to write a note of appreciation. Thank you David Miller, director of campus utilities, and all your crews who've worked so hard during this lousy winter to keep roads and parking lots clear. As a producer with WOI Radio, I've driven into the parking lot behind the Communica-tions Building at 7 a.m. on some pretty bad mornings; the slots closest to the building are always clear, and the rest of the lot is being plowed. I've never had any ice or snow problem on Pammel Drive either. I wish all the crews could get a raise.
